Thursday 4th February 2021:
Please be advised that effective midday 2nd February 2021 the main rail line into Perth (in the Avon Valley) has been closed until further notice due to the unpredictable nature of the fires.
As a result, some courier services that use the main rail network to move freight (which includes Road Express services) will experience significant delays in the ability to service to/from Western Australian.
All freight collected from 2nd February could have delays of up to 14 days until the line is re-opened and any backlog of freight cleared.
The developing situation and any subsequent service impacts remain under constant review, we have been advised to anticipate disruption and delays that will continue into February, and we will keep this page updated as this situation unfolds.
